Training of foreign citizens for admission to institutions of higher education

International Education Center

offers foreign citizens and stateless persons a variety of educational programs for learning Ukrainian as a foreign language, as well as for preparing for admission and studying in the state language in higher education institutions of Ukraine.

Educational programs for foreigners

UAP-1 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language: Basic course”

Abstract

The UAP-1 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language: Basic course” is designed to prepare foreigners for studying in Ukrainian in higher education institutions of Ukraine.

There is no previous level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language.

The current level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language is from the beginning up to B1  (A1 – A2 – B1).

The program consists of 5 courses: 3 general courses from Ukrainian as a foreign language and 2 specialized courses.

Distribution of study time:

Special disciplines 4* and 5* depend on the direction of training (future specialty) and the Rules of admission to higher education institutions of Ukraine for each year.

Provided the group is complete, it can also be: physics, literature, biology, chemistry, geography.

Study period – two semesters (September – June)

The form of education is full-time in the classroom (face-to-face).

The number of students in the group is 6-8.

The total number of academic hours is 1630. The duration of an academic hour is 40 minutes.

UAP-2 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language. Short course”

Abstract

UAP-2 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language. Short course” is intended for intensive preparation of foreigners for study in higher education institutions of Ukraine.

There is no previous level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language.

The current level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language is from from the beginning up to B1  (A1 – A2 – B1).

The program consists of 3 courses.

Distribution of study time:

Study period – 6 months (February – July)

The form of education is full-time in the classroom (face-to-face).

The number of students in the group is 6-8.

The total number of academic hours is 1078. The duration of an academic hour is 40 minutes.

UFL-1 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language”

Abstract

The UFL-1 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language” is intended for foreigners who want to start studying Ukrainian as a foreign language or improve their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Previous level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language – none, A1, A2, B1.

The current level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language is A1, A2, B1, B2.

Distribution of study time:

Study period – 6 weeks

The form of education is full-time distance (online) / classroom (face-to-face)

The number of students in the group is 1-3.

The total number of academic hours is 72. The duration of an academic hour is 40 minutes.

UFL-2 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language”

Abstract

The UFL-1 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language” is intended for foreigners who want to start studying Ukrainian as a foreign language or improve their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Previous level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language – none, A1, A2, B1.

The current level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language is A1, A2, B1, B2.

Distribution of study time:

Study period is 12 weeks

The form of education is full-time distance (online) / classroom (face-to-face)

The number of students in the group is 1-3.

The total number of academic hours is 136. The duration of an academic hour is 40 minutes.

UFL-3 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language. Level B1.

Preparation for admission”

Abstract

UFL-3 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language. Level B1. Preparation for admission” is intended for remote preparation of foreigners for studying in the Ukrainian language in higher education institutions of Ukraine.

The preliminary level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language is A2.

The current level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language is B1.

The program consists of 5 courses: 3 general courses from Ukrainian as a foreign language and 2 specialized courses.

Distribution of study time:

There is no previous level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language.

The current level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language is from the beginning up to A2  (A1 – A2).

The program consists of 3 courses.

Study period – one semester (September – January)

The form of education is full-time distance learning (online)

The number of students in the group is 6.

The total number of academic hours is 790. The duration of an academic hour is 40 minutes.

UFL-5 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language. Intensive”

Abstract

UFL-5 program “Ukrainian as a foreign language. Intensive” is intended for intensive preparation of foreigners for study in higher education institutions of Ukraine.

There is no previous level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language.

The current level of training in Ukrainian as a foreign language is from the beginning up to B1  (A1 – A2 – B1).

The program consists of 3 courses.
